What is Title I?

Title 1 is a Federal program that helps to support schools with a large population of high poverty students. Our Title 1 program at Davis Townsend allows us to provide extra help in reading to qualifying students as well as to purchase needed math and reading materials for instruction and intervention.

Our Title 1 funds are based on the number of students who qualify for free or reduced lunch, whether they eat the cafeteria lunch or not. We encourage you to complete the application so that we can maintain our current funding which allows us to offer specialized intervention services  to our students that we would not be able to provide without this funding.
