Meet Mrs. Young, Assistant Principal
My name is Mrs. Katie Young and it is my honor and privilege to serve this community as the Assistant Principal of Davis-Townsend Elementary School. I was born and raised in Davidson County and graduated from Central Davidson High School. I obtained my bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University in elementary education, and my master's degree in curriculum and instruction and executive leadership from Gardner-Webb University. I am currently in my eighteenth year in education. My educational career has consisted of being an elementary classroom teacher, instructional coach, and district instructional program specialist.
I consider myself a life-long learner and look forward to sharing my love of learning with the students, staff, parents, and community of Davis-Townsend Elementary School.
